The World Transplant Games Federation has established awards to honor the outstanding athletes of the World Transplant Games. The WTGF Outstanding athlete award is awarded to a man and woman and a boy and girl who have been nominated by their team manager and selected by the Judiciary Committee. In accordance with the Committee’s standard procedure, members of the Judiciary who have athletes nominated for their country cannot participate in the decision process. Winners selected using the following criteria:
- Performance (number of medals won)
- Quality (strength of competition)
- Diversity (achievements in multiple sports)
BOY’S OUTSTANDING JUNIOR ATHLETE: Gage Lipscomb of the United States of America.
GIRL’S OUTSTANDING JUNIOR ATHLETE: Wendy Wooden of the United States of America.
MEN’S OUTSTANDING ATHLETE: Steven Jarvis of Great Britain & Northern Ireland.
WOMEN’S OUTSTANDING ATHLETE: Nadia Stock of Great Britain & Northern Ireland.
OUTSTANDING TEAM AWARD: Islamic Republic of Iran.
