The Games take place 17-23 August 2019. Athlete registration closed 1 May 2019.
Who can enter
Entry is open to recipients of life-supporting allografts and heamopoetic cell transplants from other individuals or species which require or have required the use of immunosuppressive drug therapies.
Competitors must have been transplanted for at least 1 year, with stable graft function, be medically fit and have trained for the events in which they have entered. Medical forms will be online soon. If a potential competitor has been transplanted for at least 6 months, with stable graft function, has been training and has the permission from their own doctor, their entry may be considered by the WTGF medical committee and be allowed.
Donor Families and Living donors can take part in a select array of sporting events.Transplant eligibilty

- 10km time trial; 30km road race; 20km team event

Athletes will compete by gender in the following age groups:
(18-29), (30-39), (40-49), (50-59), (60-69), (70-79) and (80+).
Doubles events: (under 30), (30-49) and (50+).
Juniors will compete in events designated as junior events by gender in the following age groups:
(5 years and under), (6-8), (9-11), (12-14) and (15-17).
Juniors 16 or 17 years of age are permitted to compete in adult age events but must then compete only in adult events.
Age on the day of the Opening Ceremony of the Games will apply.
Costs and packages
For the first time, the World Transplant Games have introduced tiered accommodation options so that there are accommodation Costs and packages to suit all tastes and budgets.
- University accommodation from £623 per person.
- Standard registration from £793 per adult / £423 per junior.
- 4 star hotel accommodation from £923 per adult / £523 per junior.
- Accreditation only from £523 per adult / £323 per junior.

It is your responsibility to obtain necessary visas to enter the UK to attend the Games. All team members should apply in good time to obtain visas – the earliest you can apply for a visa is 3 months before travel.Visa information
