The World Transplant Games is the sporting pinnacle of the world transplant community, catering to both high-performance and social athletes.

New in 2023

Perth will host the first sprint triathlon in the World Transplant Games. This promises to be a hugely popular event with a 500m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run.

Lawn Bowls (singles)

Traditionally a popular event amongst Commonwealth countries and until 2007 a permanent sport at the Games.

6-a-side Football

Building on the success of the sport in the 2019 Games, we hope to expand the number of participating countries.

Many sports will be located within a central sports hub enabling participants and spectators to walk between venues.

Donor families and living donors are invited to participate in five special events that receive special recognition in the schedule:

  • 5km Run
  • 50m Freestyle Swim
  • 100m athletic sprint
  • Ball Throw
  • Long Jump
