The Event Team to deliver the 2023 World Transplant Games

Transplant Australia’s Chief Executive Officer, Chris Thomas announced today the appointment of The Event Team to support the delivery of the 2023 World Transplant Games in Perth.

The Event Team are Western Australia’s leading event management consultants. Their current suite of events includes one of Australia’s largest fun runs – HBF Run for a Reason, iconic ocean swims – the Rottnest Channel Swim and Busselton Jetty Swim, and the Dwellingup 100 Mountain Bike Classic.

“The Event Team’s expertise in the delivery of mass participation sporting events in Western Australia is unparalleled, and they share our commitment to delivering a World Transplant Games experience that exceeds expectation.  The Event Team will work closely with our staff and committee to deliver the sports and special events for the Games,” said Chris Thomas.

“The Newcastle World Transplant Games in 2019 set a new bar for the professionalism of transplant sports. With The Event Team on board, supported by Matty Hempstalk, Transplant Australia’s Sports Administrator, we are confident of delivering a world class event that respects the special considerations of transplant athletes in their pursuit of excellence,” he said.
